InkIT Publishing Tools and Resources

During the course of our writing, publishing and training careers, we have had a focus on using technology to increase efficiency, and more importantly, effectiveness. We are constantly improving our work flows and the technology set we use to create outputs of the highest quality. Along the way, we have defined and used a set of ‘must-have’ tools. We often have been asked for recommendations and reviews and have a number of posts over the last several years providing insights to many of them.

We have also invested a great deal in training and up-skilling and want to provide you with a list of the very best courses we from which we have learned the most, and similarly the books that both educated us and support us ongoing. Due to numerous questions on what tools we use and how we learned to use them, we have created this page so you can quickly review, understand and see if the tools we use, and the resources from which we learned them, are suitable to you and the way you work.

We consider this tool set and the learning resources to be the best-of-the-best, delivered at a great price points.

We have personally used these tools and resources and highly recommend them. As stated previously, they represent our ‘must-have’ tool set and set of learning resources. For some of these, we have an affiliate relationship and may earn a small commission from the vendor if you happen to like and buy one of them through our website. See our Affiliate Policy at the bottom of this page if you wish to understand that better. Note that in every case, you still receive the product, course or book at the best possible price.

We have segmented the tools and resources into the following tables:

  • Applications
  • Courses
  • Books

Affiliation Policy

Over the course of our careers, we have developed a strong affinity to several apps and services that we know help writers and trainers do their job better. We have proudly been sharing our experiences with those applications. Recently, to help support keeping this site going, we have entered into a few affiliation relationships with writing and training applications and products. Most are speciality companies we have been using and promoting for years. That means that in some cases, we may earn a small commission if you have found and decided to purchase an application, product or training course, having learned about it through our site.

Be assured we only recommend products, regardless if we earn a commission or not, that we use ourselves and rate highly.
